Grumpy reviewer bitch from hell

I acknowledge your efforts to save endangered species. I buy the trick rearing another not so threatened species in captivity to try out different rearing regimes, and then try to infer something about how to rear more vulnerable species. But how the hell did you think you could get away with using offspring from only one set of parents? That is, your sample size is one! Ever heard of genetic variation? Or genotype by environment interactions?
